Setting Up Your First Screen

A step-by-step walkthrough to register your first digital signage screen with SignageSpace and display content on it.

Create your SignageSpace account

Visit SignageSpace and sign up using your Google account or email. Once logged in, you'll be taken to the dashboard where you can manage all your screens and content.

Prepare your display hardware

You'll need a screen (TV or monitor) and a media player. Supported devices include Android TV, Amazon Fire TV Stick, and any device with a modern web browser. Connect your media player to the screen and ensure it has internet access.

For the best experience, use a device with a stable Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. Wired connections are more reliable for 24/7 signage.

Open the SignageSpace player

On your media player, open a web browser and navigate to the SignageSpace web player URL. You'll see a pairing code displayed on screen. This code is unique to your device and expires after a set time.

Register the screen in the CMS

In the SignageSpace dashboard, go to the Screens page and click "Add Screen". Enter the pairing code displayed on your device. Give your screen a descriptive name like "Lobby Display" or "Breakroom TV".

Screen names help you identify displays when managing multiple locations. Use a naming convention like "Location - Room" for easy organization.

Assign content to your screen

Once paired, select your screen and assign a playlist or channel to it. The content will begin playing on your display within seconds. You can change the assigned content at any time from the dashboard.
