1

Understand dayparting

Dayparting is the practice of dividing the day into segments and showing different content in each. This is common in retail (morning promotions vs. evening sales) and food service (breakfast, lunch, dinner menus).

Studies show that targeted dayparted content can increase engagement by up to 30% compared to static all-day displays.

2

Layer multiple schedules

Create multiple schedule entries within a single channel. When schedules overlap, the most recently added schedule takes priority. Use this to layer promotional content on top of regular programming.

3

Use date ranges for campaigns

For limited-time promotions, set start and end dates on your schedule entries. The content will automatically start and stop at the specified times — no manual intervention needed.

Plan campaigns in advance by scheduling them with future start dates. They'll activate automatically when the time comes.

4

Combine channels with multi-zone layouts

For the most dynamic setups, assign different channels to different zones in a canvas layout. For example, the main zone follows a content schedule while the sidebar always shows live weather and time.

Keep your always-on zones (clock, weather) in a separate channel with no scheduling — just a default playlist.
